Tip Tuesday: How to remove LipSense

So, I totally forgot to post this yesterday, but it’s ok, I think tips are still good on Wednesdays ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you’re like most people your LipSense will stay on all day, then when you reach the end of the wear time it starts to flake. But a lot of it is still on there, and even then it won’t smear or wipe off. So how do you get it off?!

With Ooops remover! This stuff will take off your lipsense without any scrubbing, it has botanicals to condition your lips, and it smells great! It’s also great to have for any mistakes, or if you want to change your color from day wear to evening out. A Starter Collection comes with a tube of Ooops!

You can also take LipSense off with Fooops makeup remover. If you regularly wear a full face of makeup, I recommend going with Fooops, then you can take off everything including your lipsense in one easy step.

Do you really need remover???

Most people do, yes. There are a few out there whose body PH breaks LipSense faster than the average, and they can usually remove it with coconut oil. I am not one of those people. I once tried to remove my color with a makeup remover wipe, and ended up scrubbing my lips raw, and still had some color on. It wasn’t pretty.

Once Lipsense has reached the end of its wear time (4 -18 hours depending on body PH, and other factors) it will start flaking off, and doesn’t always do so evenly. So, unless you want to walk around with flakey, patchy color, you’re going to need some remover. Check out this removal demo! ๐Ÿ‘‡

The amazing staying power of LipSense

Hey lovely ladies! Last night I made a video montage of the amazing staying power of LipSense. Then I slept in my makeup, (I know I know, that’s a makeup cardinal sin) but I wanted to show you how great this stuff is!!! After I woke up I brushed my teeth and snapped a pic, and my lip color still looks perfect! Check it out! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Tip Tuesday: Lip liner

This week’s tip is all about lip liner! Lining your lips is great for adding definition and volume, or just creating a different look.

๐Ÿ’‹You can use your LipSense as lip liner! Just use the tip of your applicator.
๐Ÿ’‹You can use all one color, or use a separate color for the rest of your lips to create a different look.
๐Ÿ’‹If you like to wear neutral colors, lining your lips with a slightly darker shade will stop your lips from blending into your face.
๐Ÿ’‹Use a color close to your natural lip color to line just outside your lips to make them appear a little plumper.

Tip Tuesday: How to find your perfect LipSense color

It’s Tuesday! Not a bad day for a tip.

Today I’m going to tell you how to find your perfect LipSense color! For me, Lipcolor is like shoes, you need different ones for different days/ Events/ outfits/ moods. And yet, we all have our favorites, dont we? I like lots of LipSense colors, but Napa is my go to!

To start, you’ll want to see which color family you are most drawn to. Pinks, reds, berries, bold pinks, neutrals, browns, oranges, and purples. You’ll find all the colors in their color families on the “LipSense Colors” page.

Next, look at the veins on the inside of your wrist, with natural lighting. Are they olive or green? Then you would look great in warm, yellow based colors. Are they blue or purple? Then you will want to go with cool, blue based colors. Can’t tell what color they are? Then you are likely neutral, and will look great it any color (Lucky you!) Keep in mind though, this is just a guideline. If you try on a color and think you rock it, you probably do, regardless of your skin tone ๐Ÿ˜‰ When in doubt, go with what you like, and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks.

Then, decide if you’re looking for a light, subtle color, or a bold, darker color.

Last, choose your texture. LipSense colors come in matte, shimmer or frost. Not everyone has a preference ย (I like them all!) But I definitely know some ladies who only like matte, and some who won’t wear anything but shimmer. So if you are a texture girl, check out the pics below ๐Ÿ‘‡ ย I organized the colors by texture, and also by warm or cool.

Too busy to look through all the colors? I’d be happy to find your perfect color! Just leave a comment with this info: ย favorite color family, warm or cool skin tone, light or dark, preferred texture, and your email. I’ll do the rest!

My LipSense Story

Until February of 2017, I HATED lipstick. I hated the way it dried out my lips, within a day they would be peeling, sometimes even bleeding. I had to put a protective layer of chapstick underneath. It seemed pointless to put on lip color before I left the house, only to have it be faded by the time I got to where I was going, which the chapstick didn’t help. I was grossed out every time I ate and saw lipstick on my food, or took a drink and found a nasty lipstick smear on my glass. So I just gave up, and maybe wore it twice a year.

Then a friend of mine told me I had to try this AMAZING lip color she was selling, because it was smear proof and smudge proof, and came with a gloss that would actually hydrate my lips.

I was skeptical.

I told her how traditional lipsticks tore up my lips, and I didn’t want to spend money on something unless I could wear it regularly, and not have my lips hate me. She assured me there was a 100% satisfaction guarantee, if it didn’t work for me, I could return it for a full refund.

So I took the plunge. I fell completely in love the first time I wore it. The amazing gloss kept my lips nice and moisturized, and they are healthier than they have ever been. I never see lip color on my food, my glass, my teeth, or anything but my lips, and my color lasts until I take it off at night.

I know a lot of other ladies who don’t bother with lipstick for the same reasons I didn’t, and it only took me a few days to realize that I wanted to share this awesome product with all of them. So I signed up as a distributor, and I’m loving it! There IS something better out there, and life is too short to wear bad lip color!

LipSense Application

One of the things that makes LipSense different from other Lip colors is the application process. Traditional wax based lip colors are blended by rubbing the lips together, and you definitely don’t want to do that with LipSense. It’s very sticky before it dries, and still a little tacky before gloss is applied.

LipSense is also different because it is applied in three layers, which helps the longevity of the lip color, but it also allows for layering different colors, and creating custom shades!

The final difference, of course, is the gloss! Nourishing, hydrating, and silky smooth, it protects the color to help it last, and all the different colors can be worn alone.

I made the video below not only to demo with the application process, but also to show how smudge proof LipSense really is. Seeing is believing after all!
